Getting Started In Second Life

I happened to log in and try out Second Life recently, and I was very impressed with the online environment they’ve created. Coming from an internet marketing background, I really like how they’ve set up many of the elements of the “game” and I’m fascinated about making “Linden Cash” in the micro economy.

The learning curve for Second Life is steep

This game will not be mastered in a day. In fact, you can play for years, I’m sure and not discover all of the intricacies. Some of the subjects you have to learn from the beginning are:

1) How the economy of Second Life works
2) How to handle the “in-world” 3D creation tools
3) How socialization works
4) The concepts of running a business in a brave new world

Since I’m just getting started in the game, and I’ve had a few problems finding information, I’ll outline some posts in the next few weeks which should be of interest to brand new players. The game is growing quite a bit in popularity, and I continue to expect it for the very new future.
