The Obama T-Shirt where Curious George is eating a banana is making the news today. Many people find the Obama T-Shirt offensive, and some are even out in Marietta, Georgia boycotting and picketing the tavern that sells the shirt.
Curious George is a cartoon monkey, and isn’t supposed to offend anyone, according to the t-shirt’s creator.
Mike Norman, the owner of Mulligan’s Food and Spirits says the T-shirt is not meant to be racist.
He says the humor is in the fact that Curious George and Obama “look so much alike.”
African American groups are not so confident and are protesting the shirt’s sale.
