First Day Of Spring

Today is the first official day of spring. The reason I can tell is because my calendar says so. If I had to judge based on looking out my window I would not think this is the first day of Spring.

In fact, it looks more like a typical day in the Winter. But anyways, I rejoice at the notion that the long and brutal Winter may be ending.

Hail Spring!

Vicki Van Meter

Vicki Van Meter has committed suicide by shooting herself. She was the youngest pilot ever to cross the U.S., when she did it as a young girl. Unhappiness is the reason cited for her recent actions.

Van Meter died Saturday and her body was found in her Meadville home on Sunday.

Her brother said she battled depression and opposed medication, but her family thought she had been dealing with her problems.

“She was unhappy, but it was hard for her to open up about that and we all thought that she was coping,” Daniel Van Meter said. “This really is a shock, because we didn’t see the signs.”

Vicki Van Meter was 26.

Irish Blessing

Time for an Irish Blessing. Here’s one of my favorite blessings from my 100% Irish American background.

“May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you’re dead.”

That one is another of my favorites. Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day.

Grand Canyon Flooding

The U.S. Government has flooded the Grand Canyon with 50,000,000 gallons of water in the hope of restoring the eco-system of the National Park.

This is the third time in the 30 year history of the Grand Canyon they have used this technique.

Mowgli Syndrome

Mowgli Syndrome has hit a youth in Russia.

Mowgli Syndrome has affected the “bird boy” who is now more bird than boy. Experts say the bird boy is this way because of being raised in an aviary. In the seven years of his life he only communicated through “chirps.”

“When you start talking to him, he chirps,” Galina Volskaya said.

Sacred Geometry

Sacred Geometry is making news today. What is Sacred Geometry? Let’s consult the famous WikiPedia for more information.

Sacred geometry is geometry used in the design of sacred architecture and sacred art. The basic belief is that geometry and mathematical ratios, harmonics and proportion are also found in music, light, cosmology. This value system is seen as widespread even in prehistory, a cultural universal of the human condition. It is considered foundational to building sacred structures such as temples, mosques, megaliths, monuments and churches; sacred spaces such as altars, temenoi and tabernacles; meeting places such as sacred groves, village greens and holy wells and the creation of religious art, iconography and using “”divine”" proportions. Alternatively, sacred geometry based arts may be ephemeral, such as visualization, sandpainting and medicine wheels.

In essence, Sacred Geometry refers to the unknown and unknowable design behind commonly accepted reality. Not everyone agrees on the interpretation, but many humans sense a pattern in their lives and in the movements of people as a whole.

Other folks have stated they were unable to get to the website.

You can even notice a very slow login going on now.

Make sure to add a comment if you’re having hotmail issues. What error message you’re getting, etc. Hopefully someone will get on the stick with this issue.

Mega Millions Winner

The Mega Millions winner has been declared. Robert Harris of Portal, Georgia has won the amazing $270 million dollar lotter known as the Mega Millions.

Harris is an iron worker who works on dangerous skyscrapers. As soon as he found he won the money, he immediately quit his gig. With that much money, it’s hard to argue.

Congrats to Robert Harris, the Mega Millions winner.
