Since I’m from Cleveland, I can’t help but instantly like someone named Rick Cleveland. Rick Cleveland is an excellent writer, best known for his work on The West Wing and Six Feet Under.

It’s clear he has a knack for making politics funny, so Rick Cleveland is back with a new creative venture. His stage show My Buddy Bill has been well received.

Part travelogue, part insight into the strange world of adult male friendship, Cleveland presents his relationship with Clinton in such imaginative detail that audiences who have seen the show have been left wondering what is fact and what is fiction. In fact, it’s all fiction.

“I did a short version of it at the 2006 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, and John Podesta, Clinton’s Chief of Staff, came to see it,” recalls Cleveland. “We met backstage after the show and he said, ‘We must have met before.’ He thought it was true. He was shocked and delighted to find out it’s fiction. That’s absolutely the best kind of compliment.”

I expect we’ll be hearing a lot more about Rick Cleveland in the coming months.

Marc Mezvinsky. Now that is a name you know somebody was born with and didn’t pick. Marc Mezvinsky is making the news today, and for good reason. He is rumored to be engaged to former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, who is all grown up now and out of the shadow of her famous political parents.

Marc Mezvinsky is a Goldman Sachs employee and was one of her childhood friends. He attended Stanford, just like she did. He is also from a political family. He is the son of two former members of Congress, Marjorie Margolis-Mezvinsky and Edward Mezvinsky.

The two have been seen dating quite a bit in recent weeks and some have suggested the two will be married soon. It is assumed the Clintons would be fairly happy with the match, despite the fact his dad is still in Federal lockup.
